We wanted to spend last evening in a better way than usual. We started off driving to Lancaster to see the Amish people and the rural world. We drove for sometime and while we were enjoying the greenery around we ended up at Strasburgh rail road. There was an antique train with a steam engine waiting for us. We bought the tickets, got some pictures here and there and got into the train. The compartment we got in is called COACH. Its a 45min ride through the green fields of corn and tobacco. The freshness of the air and the surroundings are all enduring. You would love to keep your hands out and feel the air but are not allowed to do so. We could see the cows grazing in the fields, amish houses, beautiful sunset across the fields. The railroad started sometime around 1830s. Now it is a very famous tourist attraction around the amish country. The train was made in 1906. To maintain the antiquity of the train, they spend around quarter of a million every year. We enjoyed the antique lanterns, the designs, the wood finishing surrounded by victorian splendour. There was a guide who spoke about the stations passing by and the train itself. We finally stopped at Paradise, the engine was changed from back to the front, we waved at the engineer while he moved past us to the front of the train. It was a beautiful train ride. It seemed a lot more fun because we did not plan the whole thing. it just happened. By the way, the train is named "The Evening Breeze".
